Wrap dresses are generally knee-length and full length dresses which can be worn year-round dependant on your choice of fabric, they are also fantastically versatile making them ideal for day-to-night styling! A Brief History of the Wrap Dressĭuring the Great Depression, Hooverettes were hugely popular, which were a form of house coat or apron featuring a wrap design. This style creates emphasis around the natural waist while emphasizing the bust and will balance the silhouette. All this is done in the space of just a couple of days, from the moment you make your own wrap dress and we receive the order.Put simply, a wrap dress is exactly as it sounds - a front closure formed by wrapping one side of the dress across the other, tied with a fastening, usually ties at the front or back which act as a feature of the dress. They will put everything together and lovingly stitch your personalized wrap dress before it is sent to our packing department to be quality checked by one of our specialists and then packed and shipped out to you. Once we have the shape and size, and your design, the fabric is passed onto to our seamstresses. We do these steps in this order to ensure your print runs from edge to edge, without white edges at the seams. They will then cut your personalized wrap dress to the right shape and size, based on our unique pattern that has been made by our in-house fashion designer. Once the printing is complete, your fabric is passed onto to our skilled craftsmen. This is done using digital printing methods such as dye sublimation, to ensure that your design is printed in full color, and is permanently bonded to the fibers of the fabric.
They then print your design onto your chosen jersey fabric. When we have your design, and it has been approved (first by our system, which flags any concerns to our experienced customer service team who will check your design themselves and contact you should there be any issues - for example, image quality) it is sent through to our printing department. Designed personally by you, and handmade to order by us, the creation process is a multi-step masterpiece. When you make your own wrap dress, we make no exceptions to this. Every product that leaves our specialist London facility is totally bespoke.
